How to familiarize yourself with the ‘New Normal’ while Travelling with Outdoor Monks for your better safety

In view of the ongoing COVID-19 situation, some of our re-defined processes, trek safety rules and key points include:

  • Before you start your journey to the mighty Himalayas we request you all to get yourself registered at the official government portals of your respective state and the state you will be travelling to (Example: For the state of Uttarakhand registration & verification is done on the web link https://dsclservices.org.in/apply.php) This should be your first step towards the safety of all (Please keep 2 copies of the print out handy while Travelling)
  • All guests are required to wear face masks in public areas and to sanities or wash their hands frequently. To ensure utmost safety & build strong immunity, we suggest you all bring face your own face mask(2-4 pieces), sanitiser (1 small bottle), and a few immunity boosting tablets like Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Zinc Tablets, to keep you safe and healthy while travelling and on Trek/ Trips.
  • For Treks: Our team will also be maintaining appropriate hygiene standards and wearing gloves and masks, in all areas throughout the Trek
  • For Trek: Tents and other trekking equipment will be well sanitized before the start of the trek, and once the trek gets over so that it is ready for our next Batches
  • For Trek: Temperature checks of Trekkers will be conducted twice every day in Morning and before Dinner. Should the temperature be higher than 99 degrees, along with other symptoms, including but not limited to coughing, sneezing, and shortness of breath, the trekker will be denied to continue the Trek further and will be assisted to visit the nearest hospital or healthcare facility at his/her own expenses
  • For Treks: Each day the same set of sleeping bags shall be issued to the Trekker with their own name Tags on it for better safety and hygiene
  • At the time of starting of the Trek/ Trip, guests will be required to submit: Identification proof copy, a Self-declaration form ensuring that the person has no COVID-19 symptoms (we request you to at least get a Covid-19 Rapid Antigen test done), along with Indemnity Bond duly filled and signed. These forms are mandatory for each participant.
(Please keep 2 copies of the printout handy while Travelling)
  • Our Team Management reserves the rights of admission and refusal of service, for guests not following the above Travelling rules, social distancing, cleanliness and hygiene normsYour cooperation is requested at this time and will be highly appreciated for the safety of all.
