A Valley of Dreams!

The virtual paradise on earth- Valley of Flowers is spread in the span of 87 sq. km in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India. Set in the backdrop of majestic Himalaya this paradise on earth was unknown to the world until the great mountaineer Frank S smith discovered this jewel of mother earth in 1931. Situated in the conversion point of Himalayan range Zaskar, and western and eastern Himalayas this fairyland is protected and bounded by snow-clad mountains from all around. Glittering glaciers and Hemkund Sahib add many folds to the beauty of this fairyland in the Himalayas and make it worth a visit among nature lovers.

This paradise on earth remains unattended during the winter season due to the heavy snowfall it receives in the season and starts to burst into bloom with the onset of the summer season. The 1st drop of rain that the region receives during the monsoon is the beginning of the magical show nature is going to play in this fairyland. The valley welcomes the rain and the entire region glisten with owners and it seems as if mother nature has spread the welcome carpet to receive the god of rain. Cascading waterfalls, small and milky streams, white peaks and glaciers and above all meadows, bloomed with baroque of owners are all that await the eyes of a visitor to appreciate the beauty of nature when it is at its peak. Some of the flowers which bloom here are Cipro, Nepolysis, Saxifrags, Sediams, Pontita la, Geranium, Lilies, Poppy, Calendula, Daisies, Dianthus, Turmopsis, Primula, Dadiculatar, holly, Pansy, Zinnia, Petunia, Fox, Caropsis, Dynthus etc.
