Kedarkanta Trek with Trekkaro. Reasons we selected Trekkaro were: 1. Lowest competitive price 2. Free trekking gear 3. Good reviews. But we very soon realised that there was a lot of cost cutting... read more to be able to give us that discounted price. We were supposed to carry our own utensils at all places at all times, which is a little uncomfortable when you are at the hotel as well. Our Guides were Guddu and Jaggu. Awesome people but local and untrained. We had a medical emergency where they did their best to get our friend medical help but were not trained to avoid such emergencies. They had no knowledge of how to prevent high altitude sickness no say on the medicines. In the mountains it’s a tricky thing because it can lead to several problems. Apart from that the travel too and from sankri was a Tempo Traveller which was additional cost. The food on the entire trek was amazing. Tents were good quality and overall it was a great experience. …
Kedarkantha trek was my second trek with Outdoor Monks, and I can say no doubt that they are best team to coordinate your treks, trips and so on Outdoor Monks... read more was sufficiently thoughtful to set up a different schedule for us since we had told them that we wanted to stay in Rishikesh for two days before the trek. In only two days they arranged so that we did rafting, bungee jumping and furthermore watched Ganga aarits. The trek was amazing. Such an amazing team, Bharath Bhai and Deeraj Bhai came with us to the trek, they were such astonishing individuals, ensured we completed the trek to the summit and also let us dance in the summit.... heehhheeee...They were soooo amazing. My first journey with Outdoor Monks was three years ago and it was Chaadar trek. They organize the treks so well. In both the treks the facilities they provided was top notch. Everything was so neatly done. Anyday I would close my eyes and choose to trek with OUTDOOR MONKS. …
Booked a last minute trek with Outdoor Monks. Could not have found a nicer, more supportive set of guides and trek mates! Outdoor monks took amazing care of all of... read more us, making sure we bonded as a group, enjoyed the trek, learnt along the way and most importantly... Ate well! In a group where not everyone was at the same fitness level to climb, our guides Bharatji and Dheeraji made sure that we all made it to the summit as a team. Not to mention, they clicked some of the most amazing pics for us never once rushing us to "keep moving" or "reach the camp" like some of the other guides on the mountain kept yelling at their groups. They were patient, polite and best of all provided us with all the support we needed. For those of us who wanted to explore, they even took us on small excursions along the way to discover the mountain and spot wildlife. Lastly, Ankush, our tour coordinator, was an absolute jem, helping us prepare before we reached Dehradun and offering some trek-saving advice that got us through the cold nights :) Thanks Outdoor Monks! Can't wait to get back on the trail with you again soon! …
